پمپ های دیافراگمی پمپ هایی هستند که با بالا و پایین شدن صفحه دیافراگم، عمل دمش و مکش را انجام می دهد. این پمپ ها با توجه به مکانیزم کاری، بازده بالا، قیمت مناسب، کاربری آسان در اکثر کاربردهای صنعتی قابل استفاده می باشند و عملا در موارد بسیار زیادی جایگزین پمپ های قدیمی در صنایع شده اند.
در این نوع پمپ از هیچ نوع پروانه ای استفاده نشده و عمل جابجا شدن سیال یا هوا توسط یک صفحه انعطاف پذیر به اسم دیافراگم انجام می گیرد.
این دسته از پمپ ها برای پمپاژ آب و هوا مناسب می‌باشند و در بسیاری از پروژه ها و دستگاه ها کاربرد دارد. پمپ آب و هوای R385، قابلیت انتقال 1.5 تا 2 لیتر در هر دقیقه را دارد و توان مکش آن، 2 لیتر می باشد. این پمپ علاوه بر پمپاژ مایعات روان، امکان پمپاژ مایعات با وسیکوزیته بالا را نیز دارد.

Description:
A diaphragm water pump uses the same principles to operate as the cylinders on your vehicle's engine.
Inside the pump is a diaphragm, or membrane, made of a rubber or plastic material. When the diaphragm flexes, the pressure inside the pump lowers, which draws in fluid.
Depending on your water pump, the diaphragm might use different methods to flex.
When the diaphragm is flexed back, the liquid is forced out of the pump the other way, and in so continues to draw in and expel the liquid being pumped.
Many diaphragm pumps will include check valves to keep the liquid from flowing backward in the pump.
Diaphragm pumps are so versatile, they are used in virtually every industry that requires a fluid transfer. They are often used for dewatering or water removal across many different industries. They are used for filling, dispensing and metering due to their efficiency and accuracy.
One advantage of a diaphragm water pump is its ability to handle a wide variety of liquids, even highly viscous ones.
Diaphragm pumps are versatile because they are able to work consistently well, even when they are pumping against a lot of pressure, or what is called the discharge head. They can also be excellent choices for pumping caustic chemicals, as the diaphragm can be made out of materials that resist reaction, like Teflon.

Note: "Self-priming" refers to the pump's ability to repeatedly turn an air/water mixture into a pumpable fluid -- NOT the ability to create a vacuum (literally) out of thin air. In fact, it is better not to run a self-priming pump without water in the casing.
