ماژول اپتوکانتر در واقع فرستنده گیرنده مادون قرمز بوده که قابلیت شمارش اجسام ورودی از داخل شیار مربوط به فرستنده و گیرنده را دارد. از این ماژول می توان در رباتیک به منظور کنترل سرعت دور موتور و یا حتی در خط تولید به منظور شمارش اجسام عبوری استفاده کرد.
بر روی این ماژول کلیه قطعات و سنسورهای لازم قرار گرفته و توسط یک مقایسه گر، آشکارسازی انجام شده و در خروجی بصورت دیجیتال 0 یا 1 ظاهر می شود. همچنین فاصله بین دو شیار مادون قرمز 5 میلی متر می باشد.

Module instructions:
1. When there is no occlusion in the module slot, the receiving tube is turned on, and the module DO outputs a low level. When occluding, the DO outputs a high level;
2. The module DO can be connected to the relay to form a limit switch and other functions. It can also be connected to the active buzzer module to form an alarm.
